Jon P. Stonehouse

Jon P. Stonehouse is the current President & CEO at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals. Jon has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Stonehouse began their career at Merck in 1987 as a Sales Representative. Jon was quickly promoted to National Sales Manager at Astra Merck in 1992. In 1998, they left Astra Merck to become the Product Director for Prilosec at AstraZeneca.

After two years at AstraZeneca, Stonehouse joined EMD Pharmaceuticals as VP Strategy and L&BD. Jon was with EMD for two years before moving on to Merck KGaA in 2002 as Corporate Development. Stonehouse spent four years at Merck KGaA before returning to the United States to join BioCryst Pharmaceuticals as President & CEO in 2006.

Jon P. Stonehouse earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Minnesota.
