Michael F. Sweeney

Michael F. Sweeney has a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to the present. Michael F. started their career as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Brooks Eckerd Pharmacy from 2002 to 2005. Michael F. then worked as a Research Assistant at St. Francis Xavier University and was involved in the synthesis of novel surfactants. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Research Technician at Boston Children's Hospital, focusing on cardiac development in embryonic zebrafish. Michael F. further advanced their research career as a Research Technologist at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2009 to 2011, where they validated gene expression profiles for colorectal cancer. Michael pursued their academic ambitions as a Doctoral Candidate at Tufts University from 2011 to 2018, investigating the tissue microenvironment's role in the development and resistance of the rat mammary gland to carcinogenesis. Following their doctoral studies, they worked as a Sales and Business Development Manager at SOPHiA GENETICS from 2018 to 2019 before joining Biodesix, Inc.
