Mohammad H. A. Ibrahim has a diverse work experience in various research and biotechnology roles. Mohammad H. A. started their career as a Research Assistant at Andong National University in 2005. Mohammad H. A. then pursued their Ph.D. at the University of Muenster, Institute for Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology, from 2006 to 2009.

Following their Ph.D., Ibrahim worked as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2012. In 2013, they became a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Hawaii. In 2014, they joined Bioextrax AB as a Co-Founder and Board Member. Mohammad H. A. also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Bioextrax AB starting from April 2017.

In 2015, Ibrahim became a Research Scientist at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, and in 2017, they joined FermenteR&D as a Biotechnology Consultant. Mohammad H. A. worked at FermenteR&D until April 2020.

Throughout their career, Ibrahim also held positions at Lund University as a Post Doctoral Fellow from 2010 to 2017 and at the National Research Centre in Cairo, Egypt, as a Researcher (Assistant Professor) in the Natural & Microbial Products Department of the Pharma & Drug Industries Division from 2000 to 2020.

Mohammad H. A. Ibrahim pursued their education in the field of microbiology and biotechnology. Starting in 2001, they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Microbiology from Cairo University. Afterward, from 2005 to 2006, they worked as an Assistant Researcher at Andong National University, focusing on Molecular Biophysics. Continuing their academic journey, Mohammad then attended the University of Münster, where they obtained their Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) in Microbiology/Biotechnology between 2006 and 2009.
