Quinn Whitlock

VP of Operations at BioFire Defense

Quinn Whitlock has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. They began their career at Discover Card in 1999, where they worked as a Senior Account Manager, managing delinquent accounts and resolving outstanding balances. In 2005, they joined Idaho Technology, where they held various roles such as BioReagents Lead Formulator, Assistant Production Manager, and later as a Product Manager for Sample Preparation. They were responsible for quality control testing, investigating manufacturing failures, and managing inventory and shipment of sample preparation kits. In 2008, they worked as a Healthcare Professional CPR/AED Instructor at PERT. They then joined Workcare Occupational and Medical Health Clinic as an EMT, conducting drug and alcohol testing and performing medical procedures. In 2009, they moved to BioFire Diagnostics, Inc., as the BioReagents Production Manager and later as the Associate Director of Reagent Manufacturing, overseeing operational excellence and analysis of key issues. Since 2013, they have held positions at BioFire Defense, first as the Director of Reagent Manufacturing, responsible for implementing best practices and COGS reductions, and then as the VP of Manufacturing Operations and currently as the VP of Operations, focusing on maintaining quality management and regulatory compliance.

Quinn Whitlock began their education history in 1999 at Salt Lake Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Their field of study was Humanities and Science Education, specifically in Social Science. They attended this college until 2002.

After completing their associate degree, Quinn Whitlock transferred to the University of Utah in 2003. They pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Behavioral Science and Health. Their time at the University of Utah lasted from 2003 to 2004.
