Martin Bastian Pedersen, PhD, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Martin started their career as a freelance computer programmer for various Danish and American companies from 1986 to 1993. Martin then worked as a research assistant at the Technical University of Denmark from 1997 to 1998. Following this, Martin joined the American Society for Microbiology as an associate editor for the Applied and Environmental Microbiology (AEM) journal from 2004 to 2007. In 1998, they began their tenure at Chr. Hansen A/S, where they held various positions including research assistant, PhD student, group leader, head of department, and senior manager until 2012. From 2012 to 2021, Martin served as the R&D Director at Sacco s.r.l. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Culture Development at BioGaia AB, starting in February 2023. With a diverse background in computer programming, research, and management, Martin's extensive work experience showcases their versatile skill set and expertise in the industry.
