Max Vernier

Max Vernier is an experienced finance professional with a strong focus on renewable energy and bioeconomy sectors. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Virentis Advisors, Max advises developers on funding and capital optimization for renewable energy projects. In addition to this role, Max holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at LFG Development LLC, specializing in landfill gas-to-energy initiatives. As a board member for the American Biogas Council and the Alternative Fuels & Chemicals Coalition, Max contributes to the advancement of sustainable energy solutions. Previously, Max spent nearly a decade at Live Oak Bank in various roles, culminating in Senior Vice President of Bioenergy, where responsibilities included originating debt opportunities and structuring finance for energy projects. Max's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Spanish from Washington and Lee University.
