Andreas Weihofen

Andreas Weihofen is a seasoned professional in the field of biochemistry and neurology, currently serving as a Scientific Director at Biogen since December 2010, where prior roles included Associate Scientific Director, Principal Scientist, and Senior Scientist. Before joining Biogen, Andreas Weihofen held positions as Senior Scientist and Scientist at Neurimmune AG from April 2008 to December 2010. Additionally, a foundation in research was established at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital from October 2003 to March 2008 as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Neurology. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry from ETH Zürich (1999-2003) and a Diploma Bio II (equivalent to MSc) in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, and Genetics from the University of Basel (1993-1999).
