Jinkuk Choi

Jinkuk Choi is a Scientific Director at Biogen since July 2016, leading the GTx performance group within the Gene Therapy Accelerator Unit, where involvement includes contributions to the leadership team. Previously, as a Principal Scientist, Jinkuk Choi managed various aspects of neurodegeneration research, including target validation and biomarker discovery for neurological therapies. Jinkuk Choi's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Stanford University, complemented by postdoctoral research at both Stanford and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, focusing on lipid metabolism in brain function and telomere biology in disease contexts. Earlier experience includes a research technician role at the National Cancer Center in Korea, specializing in BRCA1 characterization.
