Zain Yousaf

Zain Yousaf has extensive experience in the field of chemistry, currently serving as a Principal Associate Scientist at Biogen since March 2018, having previously held the position of Associate Scientist III. Prior to Biogen, Zain worked as a Research Scientist at AMRI from September 2015 to February 2018, providing synthetic medicinal chemistry support for Eli Lilly. Zain began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2012 to August 2015, focusing on the design and synthesis of C2-symmetric bishydrazone ligands. Earlier, Zain gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Lahore University of Management Sciences from June 2011 to May 2012, concentrating on iridium-catalyzed C-H activation borylation chemistry. Zain holds a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
