Charlotte Bredo Spliid

Charlotte Bredo Spliid, PhD, currently serves as Principal Investigator, Senior Research Investigator, and Senior Research Scientist at Biohaven since September 2023. Prior to this, Charlotte held the position of Scientist at TEGA Therapeutics, Inc. from September 2022 to August 2023, and was a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC San Diego from January 2021 to August 2022, focusing on glycobiology and the characterization of biomarkers and receptors in sepsis and COVID-19. Charlotte completed a PhD at the Centre for Medical Parasitology, University of Copenhagen from December 2017 to November 2020, emphasizing the structural requirements and genetic factors related to the malaria protein VAR2CSA. Earlier experience includes roles as a Research Assistant and Master Thesis Student in the same institution, and a Student Research Assistant at Chr. Hansen A/S. Charlotte earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry in 2015, followed by a Master's degree in Biochemistry - Cellular and Genetic Medicine in 2017, both from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen.
