Kevin Chen

Kevin Chen is a Computer Science and Chemistry undergraduate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expecting to graduate in May 2025. Currently serving as a Software Engineer Intern at Tesla, focusing on AI Inference for Autopilot and Optimus, and as an Edge Compute Intern at Planet, specializing in machine learning applications in space, Kevin also contributes as a Data Scientist at Biokind Analytics, providing analytics for healthcare nonprofits. Previous roles include a Research Intern at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, where Kevin worked on earth-scale monitoring of crop health through machine learning and computer vision, and as a Software Engineer at Surescripts, delivering data services for healthcare. Additional experience includes computer vision development with Illini EV Concept, health screening at LeCare Pharmacy, and teaching at Portland Public Schools.
