Sanchari Choudhury has a diverse range of work experience. Sanchari is currently working at BioLamina as a Bioprocess Engineer- Upstream Process Lead. Their previous roles at the company include Bioprocess Engineer and Bioprocess Operator. Prior to joining BioLamina, they worked at Karolinska Institutet as a Master's Thesis student, where they researched hematopoietic stem cells and their differentiation steps. Sanchari also had a role as a Research Intern at the institute, studying the role of bone marrow micro-environment niche towards acute myeloid leukemia development. In 2019, Sanchari was a team member at iGEM Stockholm, contributing to finding an alternative solution for antibiotic therapy. Sanchari also has research experience from their time as a Research Intern for their Bachelor's Thesis at Vellore Institute of Technology, where they studied the synergistic role of DOR activation and PARP inhibition on human mesenchymal stem cells subjected to oxidative stress. Additionally, they conducted virtual screening for cancer treatment compounds targeting the tubulin protein. Sanchari gained industry experience through trainee roles at Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital and Research Centre, Dey's Medical, and SWITZ FOODS PVT LTD, where they gained experience in areas such as quality control tests and manufacturing in the food industry.
Sanchari Choudhury earned a Master's degree in Medical Science with a Major in Biomedicine from Karolinska Institutet between 2018 and 2020. Sanchari also participated in a course on Regenerative Medicine and Surgery at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and another course on Science to Business at Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship, both in 2019. Prior to their master's degree, they completed a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2018. Sanchari Choudhury completed their high school education at Delhi Public School, Bhilai between 2000 and 2014, with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Genomic Technologies from John Hopkins Coursera in 2015 and in Indian Classical Music from Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh.
