Ajay Padsalgikar

Ajay Padsalgikar has been working in the medical device industry for over 25 years. Ajay began their career in 1996 as a Process Research Engineer at ICI Polyurethanes. In 1999, they moved to Huntsman Corporation as a Senior Research Scientist. In 2002, they became the Chief Scientific Officer at AorTech Biomaterials, where they were responsible for driving the technical direction of the company. In 2012, they joined Abbott as a Senior Principal Scientist, where they focused on the development and application of polymeric materials for use in long term implantable and lifesaving applications. In 2018, they became a Sr. Principal Scientist at DSM. In 2022, they became a Technical Director at Biolinq and a Scientific Advisory Board Member at Foldax Inc. Ajay has also been a Board Member of the Society of Plastic Engineers - Medical Plastics Division since 2015.

Ajay Padsalgikar holds a PhD in Polymer Science from Clemson University, which they obtained in 1996. Ajay also holds a B Engg in Polymer Engineering from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology, which they obtained in 1990.
