Sébastien Damiens

Sébastien Damiens, PhD, has had a successful career in R&D and project management in the healthcare industry. Sébastien started their career at Bio-Rad Laboratories in 2009 as an R&D Team Leader, where they managed a team and was responsible for the development of in vitro diagnostic kits for fungal infections. Sébastien also coordinated projects according to international standards. In 2018, they joined Biolog-id as an R&D Project Manager and later became a Senior Technical Project Manager. In these roles, they managed a portfolio of development projects and supported customers' product evolutions. Sébastien was also instrumental in implementing agile methodologies and leading the company's agile transformation. Currently, Sébastien serves as the R&D Director at Biolog-id, where they oversee project management, product validation, and defines development processes to meet customer expectations and regulatory standards.

Sébastien Damiens, PhD, has an extensive education history. Sébastien obtained their Doctorat biologie et santé degree from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, specializing in recherche clinique, innovation technologique, and santé publique. This degree was earned from 2009 to 2012. Prior to their doctoral studies, they achieved a Master 2 recherche degree in Biologie et santé from the same university, from 2008 to 2009.

Sébastien also holds a Master 1 degree in Génétique et microbiologie, earned from 2007 to 2008, and a Licence biologie cellulaire et physiologie degree with a focus on Génétique microbienne et eucaryote, accomplished from 2006 to 2007.

Before their undergraduate studies, Sébastien completed a DUT génie biologique degree, covering various subjects such as biologie, microbiologie, génétique, biologie moléculaire, biochimie, and chimie. This degree was obtained from 2004 to 2006, at the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sébastien Damiens has also obtained two additional certifications.
