A board-certified oncologist, recipient of the NIH Physician-Scientist Award, and Director on public company Boards, Dr. Adler supports Biological Dynamics with a blend of clinical, molecular, corporate and strategic perspectives. He served as CEO of San Diego Cancer Center (SDCC) for over 20 years until its purchase by UCSD in 2011. Under his leadership, SDCC carried out numerous clinical drug trials and developed a national reputation for clinical excellence (Hope Award). He was onsite PI for multi-center phase II and III studies. For nearly 20 years Dr. Adler was on the Board of WebMD (and predecessors). The WebMD health network included physician portals such as Medscape, eMedicine, and consumer site RxList. He served as Director on Boards of related companies, CareInsite (CARI; Nasdaq) and Medical Manager (MMGR; Nasdaq) focusing, respectively, on delivering point-of-service patient information, and management software for physician offices.

After acquisition of SDCC he remained at UCSD to guide development strategy in oncology. Dr. Adler joined Biological Dynamics in 2014 and serves as Chairman of the Science Advisory Board while remaining Director of Genomic Oncology at San Diego Cancer Research Institute (501c3) for more than 15 years.

Dr. Adler received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Yale University.
