Robert H. Kutner

Robert H. Kutner is a Senior Consultant at Biologics Consulting, specializing in CMC, process and assay development, vendor development, and process characterization/validation since May 2022. Previously, Robert served as Senior Director and Head of Process and Analytical Development at AVROBIO, where a laboratory and team were built to achieve corporate goals, focusing on comparability studies for trials. As Associate Vice-President and Head of Human Gene Therapy at Rocket Pharmaceuticals, leadership was provided for GMP production of recombinant lentivirus in hematological trials. At bluebird bio, Robert held multiple roles in process development, overseeing lentiviral vector manufacturing for clinical trials. Earlier in Robert's career, leadership was demonstrated as Director of the Vector Core in the Gene Therapy Program at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans, with responsibilities encompassing facility rebuilding and vector production. Robert's career commenced as a Lab Analyst at The Dow Chemical Company, focusing on quality control in GMP manufacturing. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma.
