Chieze Ibeneche-Nnewihe

Chieze Ibeneche-Nnewihe, Ph.D., currently serves as Senior Director of Business Development and Corporate Strategy at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., a position held since August 2020, after previously functioning as Director in the same department. Prior experience includes roles such as Board Observer at Nayan Therapeutics and a lengthy tenure at RA Capital Management, LLC, where Chieze advanced from Associate to Senior Associate and ultimately to Venture Associate, focusing on evidence-based investments in healthcare and life sciences. Earlier, Chieze contributed to Transparency Life Sciences as a Business Development Intern and held a leadership position in the Tufts New England Case Competition. Initial career stages included graphic design and business development at Altokom Ltd and technical programming in oil field data analysis. Chieze holds a Ph.D. and an MA in Physics, as well as a BS in Physics, all from The University of Texas at Austin.
