Gregory Friberg

Gregory Friberg currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Research & Development Officer at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. since September 2024. Prior to this role, Gregory Friberg was with Amgen from July 2006 to September 2024, holding various senior positions including Vice President of Global Medical Affairs in Rare Disease, Vice President of Regional Medical Affairs for the ELMAC Region, and Vice President of Global Development for Hematology/Oncology & Bone. Key achievements at Amgen include successful product registrations and commercialization efforts in the oncology space. Before their industry career, Gregory Friberg was an Instructor of Medicine at the University of Chicago and completed a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship there following an Internal Medicine residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Gregory Friberg holds an AB in Biochemistry from Middlebury College and an MD from New York Medical College.
