Beatriz García

Dr. Beatriz García is a Head of Data Science at Biome Makers. Beatriz was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (CBGP), Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from September 2013 to August 2016. During that time, they also worked as a Visiting Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics from February 2013 to May 2013, working on a project involving the integration of different data types in Disease Association Studies using Relational Learning. Prior to that, they were a Visiting Researcher at Università degli Studi di Cagliari, working on a project involving the Context of the Interpretation of Gene Lists using Machine Learning Techniques. Dr. García has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, teaching Computer Programming and Formal Languages and Automata Theory. Beatriz obtained their PhD from CNIO in 2012.

Dr. Beatriz García earned their PhD in Bioinformatics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Beatriz also holds a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the same school, as well as two Bachelors of Technology - one in Computer Science Engineer with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, and the other in Computer Science Technical Engineer. In addition, they have a certification from Coursera in Gut Check: Exploring Your Microbiome.

They work with Ryan Mykita - Head of revenue, Al Toops - Head of sales, and Sarah Basiri - Global Head of Marketing. Beatriz García reports to Adrián Ferrero, CEO & Co-Founder.
