V. Mona Vimal

V. Mona Vimal has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies within the biopharmaceutical and theater industries.

In 1997, they started their career as an Associate Research Scientist at Cell Genesys and worked there until 2000. V. Mona then returned to Cell Genesys in 2001 as a Scientist and later became a Senior Clinical Research Associate involved in pivotal Phase 3 trials in Prostate Cancer.

From 2008 to 2010, V. Mona Vimal worked as a Senior Clinical Research Associate at Hana Biosciences.

V. Mona joined Gilead Sciences in 2011 and held multiple roles, including Senior Clinical Trial Management Associate, Clinical Trial Manager, and Senior Clinical Trial Manager. Their responsibilities at Gilead Sciences involved overseeing clinical trials.

In 2018, V. Mona Vimal moved on to become an Associate Director Clinical Operations at Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. and then worked as a Director Clinical Operations at Nektar Therapeutics from 2018 to 2021.

V. Mona then served as a Senior Director of Clinical Operations at AVROBIO from 2021 to 2022.

V. Mona Vimal subsequently joined Ascendis Pharma as a Senior Director of Clinical Operations in 2022. Ascendis Pharma is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing therapies that address unmet medical needs.

In the same year, they also took on the role of Executive Director of Clinical Operations at Biomea Fusion.

Outside of their work in the biopharmaceutical industry, V. Mona Vimal has been actively involved in Generation Theater since 2017. V. Mona serves as a Board Member, Costume Designer, and Production Consultant for the theater company, which aims to promote text-based theater and stimulate intellectual curiosity through new works for the stage and other media.

V. Mona Vimal attended San Francisco State University from 2006 to 2008, studying Clinical Trials Design and Management. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2000, they attended UC Santa Cruz Extension, where they studied Molecular Biology. V. Mona holds a Master of Science degree in Anthropology and Immunology from Panjab University.
