Valentin Piëch

Dr. Valentin Piëch originally joined BioMedPartners in 2015 with a background in venture capital, science and technology, and rejoined in 2021.

Prior to BioMedPartners, Dr. Piëch started VP Venture Partners AG in 2020, a private venture capital firm supporting early-stage Life Science companies in Europe.

Previously, he was Investment Analyst and then Principal at Nextech Invest, a venture capital firm focusing on the development of therapeutics for oncology.

In addition, he is a private investor in a number of start-up and growth companies.

Dr. Piëch holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the Rockefeller University in New York, a Master degree in Cognitive and Neural Systems from Boston University and a Master Degree in Mechanical and Process Engineering from the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH).
