David Tomas serves as the Associate Director of Scientific Affairs in the food business at bioMérieux since April 2023. Previously, David held the position of Application Specialist & Regulatory Affairs at Merck Life Science from February 2020 to April 2023, focusing on microbiological methods implementation, training, and method validation. David's experience also includes a role as Senior Research Development Scientist at Nestlé, where management of a microbiological methods portfolio was key. Before that, David was the Head of the Microbiological & Molecular Laboratory at ainia centro tecnológico, overseeing an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory and leading R&D projects focused on food safety. David holds a Master of Science in Food Science and Technology and a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de València and is currently pursuing further education at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia.
