Jean Fau

Jean Fau currently serves as the VP, Global Data Compliance Officer at bioMérieux, a position held since September 2025. Prior to this role, Jean was the Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) at Groupe SEB, overseeing the company's global privacy strategy and policy from January 2021 to September 2025. Previously, Jean worked as an associate in the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) department at Linklaters from January 2017 to January 2021, following a legal trainee position in the same department. Jean has also held various teaching positions, including part-time lecturer for the Data Protection Officer University diploma at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL, and has experience as an in-house lawyer and privacy officer at IP Twins. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Information Technology Law and several master's degrees in relevant legal fields from Université Lumière Lyon 2 and Université Toulouse 1 Capitole.
