Maiken Taaks has extensive work experience in customer service and management roles. MAIKEN is currently the Vice President of EME Customer Service at bioMérieux, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Carpenter Technology for over 20 years, where they held various roles including Manager of Customer Solutions, Supervisor of Customer Service, and Inside Sales Representative. Before joining Carpenter Technology, they worked as a Customer Relations Consultant at Toyota Motor Europe from March 1998 to November 2000.

Maiken Taaks has a diverse education background. In 1994-1997, they attended Heidelberg University and obtained a degree in Language Interpretation and Translation. Prior to that, from 1992-1994, they studied at Università degli Studi di Trieste and received a diploma in Translation and Interpreting as well as Correspondence in Foreign Languages. In 1991-1992, they attended Università per Stranieri di Perugia, where they obtained a diploma in teaching Italian language and culture to foreigners. MAIKEN completed their secondary education at Gymnasium Andreanum, Hildesheim, earning an Abitur in 1991. Additionally, Maiken obtained certifications in Project Management, Finance for Non-Financial Professionals, and Agile Project Management from OpenClassrooms and Coursera in 2021.
