Carsten Krumbiegel

Carsten Krumbiegel has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and academia. Carsten is the CTO and Co-Founder of BIOMES since 2017. Prior to that, they were the Division Head Biome Sequencing at Ibiomics GmbH from 2014 to 2016, where they were responsible for process monitoring and optimization, product design, and cost calculations. Carsten started their career as an Academic Employee at Technische Hochschule Wildau in 2010 and worked there until 2014.

Carsten Krumbiegel pursued their education in the field of Biosystemtechnik/Bioinformatik. Carsten completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree from TH Wildau in 2008. Carsten then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from the same institution, which they successfully obtained in 2010. In addition to their academic achievements, Carsten Krumbiegel also underwent specialized training in MiSeq Cystic Fibrosis through an OnSite Training program offered by Illumina. Carsten obtained this certification in May 2014.
