Ilya Vainberg Slutzkin has a diverse work experience, spanning from 2016 to present. They started their career at Davidson Institute as an Instructor, teaching and providing instruction in a particular subject area. In 2017, Ilya became a Co-founder of BioHubIL at Buahab Yisrael (ORM) and took on a role focused on organizing workshops, courses, and public lectures, as well as managing administration and finances. In 2019, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Weizmann Institute of Science, contributing to research projects. Later in 2019, Ilya joined BiomX Inc as a Bionformatician, and subsequently took on the role of Senior Data Science Engineer, where they worked until 2023. Currently, Ilya is working as a Bioinformatician at Pangea Biomed.
Ilya Vainberg Slutzkin pursued their education in a chronological sequence, starting with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology and Food Engineering (Summa Cum Laude) from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Ilya attended this institution from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they went on to complete a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Molecular Genetics at the Weizmann Institute of Science between 2012 and 2014. Finally, Ilya obtained their highest level of education, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Genetics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, which they earned between 2014 and 2019.
