Lasse Saaby serves as the Head of Pharmaceutical Development at Bioneer A/S since July 2011, where responsibilities include leading research on cellular barrier models and drug transport across biological membranes, along with managing contract research projects within pharmaceutical sciences. Additionally, Lasse holds the position of Affiliate Associate Professor of Drug Delivery and Barrier Modeling at the University of Copenhagen since March 2022. Lasse's academic background includes a Ph.D. from the University of Copenhagen, where research focused on the evaluation of immunomodulating and anti-inflammatory activities of herbal remedies, and has further experience as a visiting PhD student at DTU and Rigshospitalet. Lasse's educational qualifications include an M.Sc. in Pharmacognosy and natural products chemistry and completion of pharmacy studies.
