Benjamin Ulbig

Benjamin Ulbig is a seasoned professional in project management, currently serving as the Senior Director of CMC Project Management at BioNTech SE since April 2016. Over the years, Benjamin has played a pivotal role in building and expanding the CMC Project Management Department, overseeing drug development and implementation processes for mRNA-based cancer and infectious disease vaccines, cell therapy, and mAB/ADCs. Prior to this, Benjamin held various positions at BioNTech, including Associate Director and Director, managing large project budgets and ensuring efficient execution and coordination across multiple teams and projects. Earlier experience includes project management roles at the Institut für angewandtes Stoffstrommanagement and juwi Group, focusing on renewable energy concepts and plant realization. Benjamin holds a Diplom Wirtschaftsingenieur degree from Hochschule Trier / Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld, reflecting a strong background in industrial engineering.
