Cecile Petit

Cecile Petit is an experienced professional in bioanalytics and bioinformatics, currently serving as Associate Director and Project Manager at BioNTech SE since August 2021. Prior to this role, Cecile held a post-doctoral position as a Marie-Curie Fellow at EMBL, focusing on the Mycobacterium abscessus ESX-4 secretion pathway, utilizing cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, SAXS, and integrative modeling. Earlier academic endeavors included a PhD at The University of Toledo, where Cecile researched structure-based drug design targeting proteins from Mycobacterium tuberculosis, along with teaching responsibilities in various chemistry courses. Additional experience includes a short project at CNRS on the synthesis of APN-inhibitors and temporary positions focusing on marketing and manufacturing. Academic qualifications include an Engineer's degree in Chemistry from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Mulhouse and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Université de Haute-Alsace Mulhouse-Colmar.
