Dr. Joachim Jungmann is an accomplished professional in the field of molecular biology and quality assurance, currently serving as Manager of Operational Compliance MS&T at BioNTech SE since October 2020. With extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, Dr. Jungmann has held various roles including Quality Assurance Operations Expert and ad interim Quality Assurance Operations Manager, focusing on GMP compliance, operational standards, and the tech transfer of drug substance production processes. Prior to BioNTech, Dr. Jungmann worked at Novartis Deutschland as Process Expert in mAB Bulk Manufacturing and completed internships in downstream processing. Dr. Jungmann's academic background includes a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Philipp University of Marburg and multiple research positions at the Max-Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology and the University of Groningen.
