Renee John has extensive experience in executive leadership roles, particularly in the healthcare industry. Renee currently serves as the Executive Vice President Global Clinical Operations at BioPharma Services Inc., where they oversee the daily operations of clinical research sites in Toronto and St. Louis. In this role, they manage a team of five direct reports and around 200 employees. Renee is also a member of the Executive Management Team, where they contribute to the strategic growth strategies of the organization.
Prior to their current position, Renee held the role of Vice President Clinic Operations at Pathway Health Corp. There, they directed the daily operations of a portfolio of nine clinics across five provinces, as well as a national virtual healthcare platform. Renee successfully transitioned the company's medical cannabis business to virtual healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic, reducing costs by downsizing the staff by 50% while maintaining quality patient care.
Before joining Pathway Health Corp, Renee worked at Agility Health, Inc., Medic Holdings Corp. (Subsidiary) as the Vice President of Operations. In this role, they provided operational oversight for 11 clinics and two manufacturing sites, leading a team of 80 employees and specialists. Renee implemented cost-saving measures of over $1 million through inventory reduction, outsourcing, and other efficiency improvements. Renee also contributed to revenue growth through marketing initiatives and rebranding.
Renee's earlier experience includes roles at Shoppers Home Health Care, where they served as the Director of Western Canada Sales and Operations. In this position, they managed a portfolio of Canadian locations, including retail stores, and led a team of direct and indirect staff. Renee was later promoted to the Director of Long Term Care (LTC) and Retirement, where they oversaw a staff of 50 and facilitated expansion and strategic partnerships to enhance business growth.
Additionally, Renee has experience in change management and culture leadership, having served as the Leader of Culture and Change Management at Shoppers Home Health Care. Renee implemented continuous improvement and change management systems to drive a smooth transition and foster employee engagement.

Renee John obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Criminology, Sociology, and Psychology from the University of Toronto from 1993 to 1998. Renee then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Western University from 2013 to 2015.
In terms of additional certifications, Renee became an Empowered Relief Certified Instructor from the Stanford University School of Medicine in August 2019. Renee completed the Prosci Change Management Certification Program offered by Prosci in March 2018. In April 2016, they obtained Social Enterprise Workshops certification from the Toronto Enterprise Fund. Renee attended the Leading Through Change program at the Schulich Executive Education Centre (SEEC) to enhance their leadership skills in January 2014. Prior to that, they completed the Leader's Building Leaders VP/ Directors Program from SEEC in June 2013 and the High Impact Leader Program from Bluepoint Leadership Development in May 2013.
