Ewen Bazirake

Ewen Bazirake has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Ewen is currently serving as the Associate Director of Business Development and Strategic Alliances at Biosion since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Akebia Therapeutics where they held multiple roles. Ewen served as a Program Manager and Senior Project Manager, overseeing program activities for Vadadustat and Praliciguat from March 2021 to June 2022. Ewen also worked in Business Development at Akebia Therapeutics from June 2016 to June 2021. Before joining Akebia Therapeutics, Ewen Bazirake worked as an Associate at Kamylon Capital from May 2015 to May 2016. Ewen began their career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Summer Street Research Partners, where they worked from 2012 to 2014.

Ewen Bazirake obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Brandeis International Business School in the years 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Biochemistry from Middlebury College between 2008 and 2012. Before attending college, they completed their International Baccalaureate Diploma at Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA in 2006 and 2007. Ewen also holds a High School Certificate from King's College Budo, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their academic degrees, Ewen Bazirake has obtained several certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2023, the Certificate of Achievement - Alliance Management (CA-AM) from the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals in 2023, and the Biotechnology Project Management certification from the MassBioEd Foundation in 2021.
