Bernt Saugen

Bernt Saugen is an experienced technical manager currently serving at BioSort AS since January 2016 as a project leader for the iFarm initiative in individual-based aquaculture. Previous roles include senior engineer at NVE and a tenure at BioSort AS as the managing director from 2010 to 2014. Prior to this, Bernt held various positions at Tomra Systems ASA from 1987 to January 2009, including project manager for automated recycling centers, where responsibilities included analysis, concept development, and product development of innovative environmental technology, as well as establishing a service network in North America. Bernt also served as chairman of the board for Norsk Presstoff AS from January 2005 to September 2006 and was involved in R&D for new reverse vending machines at Tomra from 1987 to 1993. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Leadership from IFL, Institutt for Ledelse, and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
