Osman Kibar

Osman Kibar has a rich and diverse work experience, starting with their current position as the Executive Chairman & Founder of Biosplice Therapeutics since March 2021. At Biosplice, they are leading the development of innovative small-molecule therapeutics based on alternative pre-mRNA splicing.

Prior to Biosplice, Kibar served as the CEO & Founder of Samumed since January 2008, where they played a pivotal role in the company's operations.

Osman also founded and served as the CEO of Dynamic Connections starting from January 2003. Before that, Kibar held the role of VP, Infrastructure at Pequot Capital from August 2001 to December 2002.

In addition, Kibar worked as the Scientific Founder of Genoptix from March 2001 to September 2001 and as a Co-Founder at E-tenna Corp. from January 2001 to May 2001.

Osman Kibar began their education at Robert College, where they completed their high school education. Following this, they attended Pomona College from 1988 to 1991, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematical Economics. Moving forward, from 1991 to 1993, they enrolled in Caltech to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Finally, Osman Kibar attended UC San Diego from 1993 to 1999, where they completed their PhD and MS in Opto-electronics & Bio-photonics.
