Ummehaani Khorakiwala

Ms. Ummehaani Khorakiwala is the CEO of Nandi Seeds Pvt. Ltd. (NSPL), a Biostadt Group company that specializes in the business of Hybrid seeds. She is also the Whole-Time Director at Biostadt India Ltd.

NSPL is considered an industry leader in the specialization of Hybrid seeds. The company has been providing farmers with high-quality hybrid seeds through superior genetics and innovation to overcome climatic change for sustainable agriculture. As part of the ongoing growth and expansion plans, NSPL has recently also acquired all the assets and businesses of Biogene Seeds Sciences Pvt. Ltd.

NSPL produces and sells a wide range of quality hybrid seeds for crops such as bajra, paddy, castor, mustard, cumin, and corn. It has an expansive distribution system pan India and R&D and processing plants based out of Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. Its strategic focus on growth enables it to be one of the fastest-growing companies in the business today.

In 2012, Ummehaani joined the main family business of agricultural inputs, where her management and leadership skills are being utilized to establish and drive the business toward its strategic growth path.

Ummehaani holds a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics from Carnegie Mellon University (2002) and a Master in Textile Marketing & Engineering from The Fashion Institute of Technology, New York (2003).
