David O. Smart

David O. Smart has extensive work experience in various roles within the renewable energy industry. David O. started their career at BioStar Renewables, where they worked as the Vice President of Sales, generating leads and overseeing sales representatives. David O. later served as the Senior Vice President of Sales and ultimately became the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of the company. Additionally, Smart hosted a podcast called RENEWables, which focused on the energy landscape and sustainability practices. Prior to their work at BioStar Renewables, they co-founded and owned Smart 'n' EZ Apparel, where they were actively involved in marketing, sales, production, and customer relations. David O. also worked as part of the Outreach team at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and interned for Senator Pat Roberts in Washington, DC.

David O. Smart obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Indiana University Bloomington from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they received a Diploma from The Pembroke Hill School from 2003 to 2009. David O. also holds a certification as a Licensed Real Estate Agent in KS & MO from Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kansas City Homes.
