WESLEY M. JONES is a principal of Sage Capital LLC, a St. Louis-based private equity firm he co-founded in 2004 that invests in lower-middle market companies. Before returning to St. Louis, Mr. Jones worked for over 20 years in the investment banking industry in New York, starting in M&A at Goldman Sachs and advancing to senior positions at The First Boston Group (now Credit Suisse), The Blackstone Group, and Bear Stearns (now JP Morgan). Mr. Jones also served for five years as an adjunct professor of finance at the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.

Mr. Jones is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania Law School (JD 1980, law review), Amherst College (BA 1977, summa cum laude) and Saint Louis Country Day School (1974, valedictorian). He currently serves on the boards of Store Supply Warehouse, K. Hall Studio, DIT-MCO International, Bulk Tank, Check Technology Solutions, Mohawk Lifts, Quest Food, and Janet McAfee Inc. Current civic board positions include the City of Ladue Non-Uniformed Pension Plan, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, BioSTL, and Washington University’s Center for Finance and Accounting Research.
