Dirk Van Hyfte

Dirk Van Hyfte has had an extensive career in the medical and technology industries. In 1997, they began their career as a Clinical Psychiatrist at SJG Weert. In 1999, they co-founded iKnow and served as the Co-Founder and Bio-Medical Advisor. In 2011, they were a Consultant for Text Analytics and Biomedical Informatics. In 2019, they co-founded BioStrand, BioKey, and BioClue, and served as Co-Founder and CTO for BioStrand. As CTO, their priorities included driving BioStrand's technical strategy, developing concepts into commercially viable solutions, aligning technological resources with the company's business needs, continuing innovative product development, and pooling their own unique medical, technical, and business expertise. Additionally, at BioClue, they were the Co-Founder and Technical Mastermind, and held patents for a revolutionary algorithm for genomic data analysis.

Dirk Van Hyfte completed their Doctor of Medicine - MD from KU Leuven in 1992. Dirk then went on to complete their Psychiatry Residency from KU Leuven between 1992 and 1997. Finally, in 2000, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Medical Artificial Intelligence from Radboud University.
