Bruno Teixeira Dias has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and biosensors. Bruno currently works as a Product Specialist at BioSystems since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BioExpert Network as an Expert from November 2019 onwards. Bruno also worked at Paperdrop Diagnostics as an R&D Scientist from November 2020 to November 2021.
Their longest tenure was at iMiCROQ SL, where they served as the Head of Biosensors Department from June 2014 to July 2020. Bruno held various responsibilities within the company during this time.
Before joining iMiCROQ SL, Bruno worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Nanobiotechnology & Bioanalysis Group (Interfibio Group) from February 2014 to June 2014. Here, they were involved in a European project called d-LIVER, focused on the development of a microfluidic system for liver protein and analyte monitoring.
Bruno's earlier experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Project Manager at the Bioengineering & Bioelectrochemistry Group (Interfibio Group) from December 2011 to December 2013. During this period, they worked on two projects related to the development of biosensor platforms for early infection detection and allergen detection.
Bruno began their career as a PhD student at the Universidad Politècnica de Catalunya from September 2007 to October 2011. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Technician in Cytogenetics at HSM - Hospital de Santa Maria, Lisboa (Portugal) from September 2005 to June 2006.
Bruno also worked as a Research Technician in Molecular Biology at the Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical (IHMT) - Lisboa (Portugal) from October 2001 to March 2003, and as a Research Trainee in Microbiology at the Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica (ITQB) - Oeiras, Portugal from May 1998 to May 1999.
Bruno Teixeira Dias received their education spanning from 1996 to 2011. Bruno began their education at Instituto Superior de Humanidades e Tecnologias, where they completed the Biotechnology Technician Course from 1996 to 1998. Later, from 1998 to 2006, they pursued a Biotechnological Engineering degree at Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário Lisboa. Afterward, from 2007 to 2008, Bruno completed their Master of Science degree in Polymers and Biopolymers at Universidad Politècnica de Catalunya. In 2010, they joined the 3B's Research Group in Portugal as a researcher, focusing on Polymers and Biopolymers. Finally, Bruno pursued their highest level of education by obtaining their Ph.D. in Polymers and Biopolymers from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they completed from 2007 to 2011.
