Marc Orta Mascaró

R&D Design Transfer Head at BioSystems

Marc Orta Mascaró has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Marc started their career in 2010 with an internship at Almirall, where they worked on the development of a new test for detecting the immunotoxicity of compounds. Marc then moved on to an internship at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, where they worked in the Department of Immunology. In 2011, they joined the Fundació Clínic per a la Recerca Biomèdica as a PhD fellow in Biomedicine.

In 2014, Marc worked as an International PhD student at CIML, where they collaborated on a study focused on T cell activation. Marc then joined BCNscience in 2016 and held various roles including Medical Project Manager and Account Director. Marc led a team of Medical Project Managers and ensured the scientific and conceptualization of projects. Marc also provided technical support for project development.

Marc's most recent experience is with Biosytems S.A., where they started in 2017 as an R&D Project Manager before being promoted to R&D Design Transfer Head. In this role, they managed the Design Transfer department and implemented strategies to improve the user experience and overall company performance. Marc also coordinated the main projects and collaborated with various departments.

Throughout their work experience, Marc has demonstrated their expertise in project management, scientific documentation, and team leadership.

Marc Orta Mascaró has a strong educational background in the field of biomedicine and immunology. Marc completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedicina - Inmunología at Universitat de Barcelona from 2011 to 2016. Prior to their Ph.D., Marc obtained a Master's degree in Immunology from the same university in 2011. Marc also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Biology from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, which they earned from 2004 to 2010.

In addition to their academic degrees, Marc Orta Mascaró obtained a certification in scientific writing in English from Stanford University School of Medicine in 2013. Marc also obtained a C1 level certificate from the Official language school of Barcelona (EOI) in June 2015.
