Poornima Ramani

Poornima Ramani is a skilled research associate at Biotage since June 2023 and currently serves as an associate scientist specializing in strain engineering at Yali Bio, where responsibilities include designing microbial platforms for sustainable fat and lipid production and developing analytical tools for metabolite screening. Prior experience includes a role as a genetic engineer at Purissima, Inc., focused on strain development for sustainable production of high-value compounds, and participation in the DBT-sponsored Biotech Industrial Training Programme at Micro Therapeutic Research Labs. Poornima also gained early experience as a trainee at the Tropical Forest Research Institute. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biological Sciences from CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from VELS University.
