Vera Martens

Vera Martens has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Vera began their career in 1999 as a Research Collaborator at VIB, where they worked on a project focused on the characterization of T. cruzi trans-sialidase and developed an enzymatic assay for T.

In 2001, Vera briefly worked as a Quality Assurance Officer at GlaxoSmithKline before joining Innogenetics as a Senior Researcher in 2002. Vera served in this role for ten years, until 2012.

Following their tenure at Innogenetics, Vera joined Q-Biologicals in 2012 and worked as a Researcher for three months. In 2014, they transitioned to Ablynx, where they held multiple positions over a span of seven years. Vera initially served as a Senior Research Associate in the Pharma division from April 2014 to November 2014. Subsequently, they worked as a Senior Research Associate in CMC Analytics from November 2014 to June 2016. Their final role at Ablynx was that of a Lab Manager/Scientist in CMC Analytics, which they held from July 2016 to July 2021.

Their current position is at Biotalys NV as a Scientist Analytics, a role they assumed in July 2021.

Vera Martens has a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Hasselt. Vera also holds a master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ghent. However, specific start and end years for their education were not provided.
