Dorottya Nagy-Szakal MD PhD

Dorottya Nagy-Szakal MD PhD has been working in the medical field since 2009. Dorottya began their career as a PhD student at Semmelweis University's 1st Department of Pediatric Clinic. In 2010, they took on two postdoctoral associate roles at Baylor College of Medicine's Section of Pediatrics Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and Texas Children's Hospital's Nutrition and GI. In 2015, they moved to Columbia University in the City of New York as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Center for Infection and Immunity. In 2018, they became the Chief Medical Officer for Biotia. Most recently, they have been a Research Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine since 2019.

Dorottya Nagy-Szakal MD PhD obtained their Medical degree from Semmelweis University in 2009, after completing their studies in 2003. In 2008, they completed a course in internal medicine and surgery at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. In 2017, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Clinical Medicine from Semmelweis University.
