Dr. Zitong Yu is currently a postdoctoral researcher at ROSE Lab of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. In 2021, he was previously a visiting scholar at Torr Vision Group of the University of Oxford, UK.
He has published research works on top-tier journals and conferences such as IEEE TPAMI, SPM, TIP, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, IJCAI, AAAI, and more. He won 1st Place in the ChaLearn Multi-Modal Face Anti-Spoofing Attack Detection Challenge with CVPR’20. He also co-organized the 3D High-Fidelity Mask Face Presentation Attack Detection Challenge with ICCV’21 and the first Challenge on Remote Physiological Signal Sensing with CVPR’20. Dr. Yu's ICCV’19 paper on remote heart rate measurement was granted IEEE Finland Section Best Student Conference Paper Award of 2020.
Dr. Yu is passionate about advancing BioTrillion's mission of using a common smartphone to optically unlock physiologic insights hidden in the human eyes and face, particularly via his expertise in rPPG (remote photoplethysmography), the next generation and contactless form of pulse oximetry.
Dr. Yu holds B.E. and M.S. degrees from University of Nantes in France and Guangdong University of Technology in China, respectively. And also holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Oulu, Finland.
