Dr. Hossein Doroud

Dr. Hossein Doroud currently serves as a Cyber Security System Engineer at BIOTRONIK since December 2023. Prior to this role, Dr. Doroud worked at Technische Universität Berlin as a Postdoctoral Cyber Security Researcher from September 2019 to December 2023, where responsibilities included leading a research team under the DFG PANDA project and developing educational content in security and machine learning. Dr. Doroud's earlier experience includes significant research roles at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid from September 2012 to December 2019, focusing on network measurement, traffic classification, and deep packet inspection plugin development. Additional positions held include Mobile Internet Researcher at IMDEA Networks Institute, Network Measurement Researcher at the University of Naples Federico II, and a range of engineering and management roles earlier in the career. Dr. Doroud obtained a PhD in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, building upon a Master's degree in Telematic & ICT and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Islamic Azad University.
