Prof. Dr. Med. Georg Nollert

Prof. Dr. med. Georg Nollert has extensive work experience in the medical field, with a focus on cardiac surgery and medical affairs. Prof. Dr. med. Georg is currently serving as the Vice President of Medical Affairs at BIOTRONIK since 2016. Prior to that, they worked at Siemens Healthcare for over a decade, holding several key roles including Director of Global Marketing for Surgical Angiography Suites and Interventional Cardiology. Prof. Dr. med. Georg also served as the Head of European Sales Support for Cardiology and Manager of CRM Integration during their time at Siemens Healthcare. Before their time at Siemens, Prof. Dr. Nollert worked as a Consultant in Cardiac Surgery at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München. Prof. Dr. med. Georg also had research experience as a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Medical School and worked as a Resident and Intern in Cardiac Surgery at LMU München.

Prof. Dr. med. Georg Nollert completed their education in a chronological order as follows:

- From 1974 to 1983, they attended Steinbart Gymnasium.

- Between 1983 and 1990, they studied Medicine and obtained an MD degree from the University of Lübeck.

- In 1985, they also pursued Information Technology at the University of Hagen.

- From 1996 to 1999, they pursued further education at Harvard University, earning a Habilitation in Medicine.

- In 2003 and 2005, they obtained a Master's degree in Management of Healthcare Organizations from the University of Kaiserslautern.

Additionally, Prof. Dr. Georg Nollert holds certifications as a Professor of Cardiac Surgery from the University of Munich, a Fellow of the American Heart Association, and a Dr. med. from Universität Lübeck.
