Sanjay Gaikwad is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the design and development of advanced medical devices and mechanical systems. Currently serving as a Principal Mechanical Engineer at Bioventus since November 2022, Sanjay previously held the position of Sr. Mechanical Engineer at NovaSignal, where responsibilities included the design of robotic ultrasound devices and product prototyping. Prior experience includes roles at Ormco, where Sanjay designed orthodontic brackets, and at Second Sight Medical Products, notable for leading the mechanical design of retinal prosthetics. Sanjay's comprehensive background includes positions at Nokia Mobile Phones, Terumo Heart, and Crompton Greaves, along with advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and The University of Toledo.
