Isabel Vercauteren

Isabel Vercauteren is an experienced professional in the biotechnology and agricultural sectors, currently serving as CEO of Aphea.Bio since June 2017 and as a member of the Board of Directors at Biovia since April 2019. Previously, Isabel held the position of Entrepreneur in Residence at VIB from July 2016 to July 2017 and worked at Bayer CropScience from March 2008 to July 2016 in various roles including R&D Licensing and New Ventures Manager, Group Leader Technology Licensing, and Technology Licensing Manager. Isabel started a career in research at Devgen as a Senior Scientist from 2004 to 2008 and was a post-doctoral researcher at Ghent University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from 1997 to 2004. Isabel Vercauteren earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of Ghent and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Ghent University.
