Filipa Pedro

Filipa Pedro started their work experience in 2018 as a Monitor at the União das Freguesias de Ramada e Caneças. Filipa then became a Board Member and later the Department of External Relations Coordinator at NEBIST - Núcleo de Engenharia Biológica do Instituto Superior Técnico from 2018 to 2019. In 2019, they worked as an Ambassador at NAPE - IST and as a Monitor at Universidade de Lisboa. In 2020, Filipa worked as an MSc Student - Master Thesis at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa - FCT NOVA, focusing on the production of PHA using mixed microbial cultures and complex feedstocks. Filipa defended their master thesis with a high evaluation. In 2021, they became a Research Assistant at IBB - Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences and later joined BIOWEG as a Microbial Fermentation Scientist.

Filipa Pedro pursued their Master's degree in Biological Engineering from 2015 to 2020 at Instituto Superior Técnico.
