Dusan Kostic

Dusan Kostic has extensive work experience in the field of medical affairs. Dusan currently holds the position of VP and Head of Medical Affairs at BioXcel Therapeutics, Inc. Prior to this, they served as VP of US and Global Medical Affairs at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies (U.S.) from 2017 to 2021. Dusan also worked as a Senior Director of US and Global Medical Affairs at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies (U.S.) in 2016, and held the role of Director/Senior Director of Global Medical Affairs from 2006 to 2016. Before joining Otsuka, they briefly worked as an Associate Director of Medical Affairs at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 2006. Dusan also gained experience as an Associate Director of Global Medical Affairs at Bristol Myers Squibb from 2002 to 2006. Prior to their industry experience, they worked as a Senior Director of Scientific Services at Health Science Communications from 1996 to 2002. Dusan began their career in medical affairs with postgraduate training at various academic institutions from 1986 to 1993.

Dusan Kostic obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Molecular Biology and Physiology from the University of Belgrade. Dusan then pursued further education and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology at the University of Utah between 1986 and 1993.
